promo-cateringChef/Owner Jim Solomon of Fireplace Restaurant and Catering loves New England history and has a passion for food. He has taken these two loves and combined them into something magically creative and delicious. Without a doubt, his Brookline restaurant “The Fireplace”, which opened in 2001, reflects this particularly special pairing. Jim sources New England farms for his ingredients and supports local businesses more than most and he gives back constantly, supporting several local causes. His generous spirit and kindness is renowned in the local community. Outside the restaurant, Jim and his Director of Catering, Laurie Stuehmer step outside their box when planning catering menus. Tapping into their creativity, they let the menu and the details take on the individual personalities of their clients and they are likely to come up with a menu that include a “Taco Bar” with untraditional ingredients such as duck confit and julienne brussel sprouts. Menus tend towards being rustic, yet elegantly upscale. Laurie can handle all aspects of your event from the outset and is a true professional. Her easygoing, pleasant nature makes her a joy to work with. You can be assured that you are in good hands and can relax and let her and her staff take care of all the details. Jim and Laurie are an amazing team and provide incredible food and service for all your events.
