Testimonials

“We applaud the Artz for Alzheimers program and imagine it delivers a wonderful experience. We only wish my father (from Worcester) could have participated. He passed on his love of cars to me and I am known as “Car-Girl” from my past industry involvements. I would like to learn more about the activities as my mother is in a center in W. Roxbury. Keep up all the good work and perhaps we will meet at the Members Party in January. Many thanks for all the joy Larz offers.” – Elaine Savage

“It was a pleasure working with you, Sheldon, Jen, and the whole team at Larz. As we had hoped, Larz was the perfect fit for Model S, and based on feedback from our owners, reservation holders, and visitors,  Larz can look forward to the future addition of a few new patrons. Thank you for being such kind and accommodating hosts. The entire event was a success, and we couldn’t have achieved that success without all of your help.” – Jeff Liu, Assistant Manager, Tesla Motors

“Please allow me to echo Jeff’s sentiment by saying that we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results of the event and the Model S Beta’s first trip to New England! The Larz Anderson Auto Museum is a truly remarkable place, and I can’t tell you how many of our customers commented on what a fantastic venue we chose for the event. We also could not have asked for more accommodating or professional hosts, and can’t thank you enough for extending your hours, sharing your local knowledge, and generally just being fantastic. – Christy Pineda, Tesla Motors

“Just a note to thank you for a most enjoyable visit to the Larz Anderson Auto Museum on Friday, March 9, 2012. In the absence of your tour guide on that day, you were kind enough to step in and give our group – The Romeo Club – a very interesting narrative of the automobiles and the history of the museumMany of our members plan a return visit with family members and some have expressed an interest in your volunteer program!” — Bill Pardi, Medfield Council on Aging

“The Larz Anderson Auto Museum is an incredible venue! The Museum is staged inside an unbelievably crafted carriage house in the Arts & Crafts style. This location offers a backdrop of endlessly changing beautiful car collections and costumes of eras gone by. Any architectural or car enthusiast will fall in love, as will those who can simply appreciate the ability to style this building for your event as if you were in a Ralph Lauren photo shoot — gorgeous, rough-hewn glamour! Karen Hasenfus, Events Manager — is fabulous. After working with her for the opening gala of the current exhibit “Dream, Expression, Obsession – Art of the Automobile”, I found Karen to be super friendly, enthusiastic and responsive. I look forward to many more events at The Larz Anderson Auto Museum. Thank you, Karen!” — Darcy, Le Reve Floral Design

“I have always admired the Museum and the history it represents, however, it wasn’t until Saturday evening that I felt a strong connection. Touring the hayloft was a unique experience. The history and culture those carriages represent offer a very special look into the past of the Anderson family as well as the birth of the auto industry as we know it today. For me, the highlight of the evening was Renner’s mural and your explanation of it’s essence. I truly loved examining it through your eyes. The mural is thought-provoking, inspiring, and beautiful. Not only are Renner’s drawings exceptional, Jen’s work is extraordinary. She is a very talented young woman – and delightful! I hope to see more of her talent displayed at future events. You should be quite proud of the art work you have brought to the Museum. It adds another dimension to the remarkable beauty of the world of fine automobiles. Looking forward to seeing you at the next event.”

“Thank you so much your kindness and support throughout our whole wedding planning experience!! It was truly a perfect night and we enjoyed every second at Larz Anderson!” – Jamie & Jason

“The gala event was a lot of fun, the food was good, the music was nice and the ambiance excellent. Enclosed is a contribution to the museum. Happy Holidays to you!”

“Definitely a hidden gem, not alot of people know about this place due to it being in the remote side of brookline. but would highly recommend coming to visit the museum or even attend one of the many lawn events on sat/sun. Also if you are one to come to more than one lawn event during the course of the year, look into the museum annual membership $30 for single/$50 for family, definitely worth it and it pays off. Great bunch of people who work at the museum. also great scenery that surrounds the museum as it is a park” – Wesley W. Via yelp.com

“ARTZ is delighted to collaborate with the Larz Anderson Auto Museum and its wonderful Education Department on a program for people with dementia and their care partners. When ARTZ participants walk into the LAAM I can sense a palpable shift of perception—there seems to be an instant “recognition” of the museum’s collection and a subsequent increase in feelings of self-esteem, expression, and competency. The world-class collection of cars is more than just a housing of beautiful objects—there is a synthesis of the space layout, fashion/memorabilia, and music that opens a portal into our long-term memories as well as enabling those with dementia to live completely in the present moment. The Larz Anderson Auto Museum is a national treasure!” – Sean Caulfield – Creative Director and Co- Founder

“Thanks for your concern about our safe return to CA. We all arrived safely after a great seven day tour. I must say that our visit to the Larz Anderson was, I believe, one of the highlights of our trip. It was most interesting to listen to your presentation about getting young people interested in the Museum. Many of our docents handle tours of school children and your insight was most valuable. Everyone on the Fall Colors Tour was impressed with your knowledge, interesting delivery, and ability to hold our group in rapt attention during our visit. Thanks again for a wonderful visit and best of luck to you in your endeavors” -California Automobile Museum

“I meant to write you right after our awesome field trip!   You were terrific and clearly gifted in working with children.  It was a delight to have you as our tour guide and the cars were awesome.  I’m happy to report that the students did extremely well on their test on automobiles due in a large part to being able to actually see examples of the evolution of the automobile.   Thank you also for the incredible book.  It will be a much valued classroom resource.   Thanks so much!” – Beth Papia,  Salem Christian School

“On behalf of Den 5 from the Brookline Pack 6 Boy Scouts, we would like to thank you again for taking the time to show us around the Larz Anderson Auto Museum. Your tour was fantastic and the boys had a wonderful time learning about the history of our local area, the Andersons, and of course the cars. In particular your flexibility to open up early on a day you were normally closed was most greatly appreciated. It is contributions by individuals like yourself and institutions like the Museum which really helps us to bring history alive for the boys” -Pack 6 Den 5 Boy Scouts of America

“I hope you are enjoying your week and I hope you had a memorable time at your daughter 30th Birthday!! I apologize that this is a bit late, but we would like thank you and  Larz Anderson Staff, everyone did such a wonderful job on the day of the reception. Everyone was so helpful, I felt at home and so did my guest. My guests loved Larz Anderson! Silvia was such a delight to work with, I couldn’t ask for more. Please relay our appreciation and gratitude to everyone that help made the reception day special for Hemanth and I. Best wishes and many thanks to all, – Sammie & Hemanth”

“Just want to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the program on Isabelle and Larz Anderson last Saturday. Molly Neimy is such a knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide. It was  fascinating to learn about the lives of the Andersons including their many varied interests and philanthropies.  It was also interesting to learn about the architecture of the carriage house and walk around outside to see the layout of the estate. Hopefully you will be doing more of this type of programming in the future. I am sure that  many others would enjoy it as much as I did.” - Rosamond Rabinowitz

“I must write to tell you what a wonderful time I had at the museum last Saturday. The presentation and the tour were both fascinating. I learned so much about Larz Anderson and his lovely wife Isabel. Thanks so much for the hand-out you distributed as it helped me to review all I’d learned later when I returned to my family. Thanks so much for a wonderful morning. I will bring my whole family to visit the museum very soon. Please do add my email to your distribution list so that I can learn about upcoming events. Very best wishes, Kimberly Reynolds.”

“Molly - We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, and you are an exceptional tour guide who exudes passion about Larz, Isabel, Weld and their era. Many thanks for a memorable and enjoyable event. Best Regards, Bill Cooney.”

“Thank you for the well-wishes, the wedding was PERFECT!! I wouldn’t change a thing and its mostly due to the lovely backdrop of the Museum. I am so proud to have had it at your venue and guests just loved it.  Thanks again for your help and coordination, we were so happy to have such a lovely wedding with the LAM as part of it.” -Laura & Tyler

“I’m so very, very, proud of what you all did!!! It’s really great being affiliated, even in a very minor way, with caring and creative people like all of you at Larz.  Thank you for all your efforts for the Museum’s, and the community as a whole, benefit.”  -Paul B, Museum Trustee
