LAWN EVENTS

OVERVIEW

S ince 1927, the Carriage House has been the setting for various lawn events and other car related activities. The Lawn Event season grew out of a Sunday afternoon tradition begun by the Anderson family, who would open the doors to the Carriage House so that the general public could admire their growing collection of American and European cars.

Normally, we host lawn events almost every Saturday and Sunday from May-October. Our Lawn Event season features events from every marque and era. Italian, German, British, American, Custom, Tuner, Alternative Fuels, Trucks, Hot Rods and European Motorcycles will all be on display at different times throughout the season.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

In the last year, we’ve learned to pivot (and pivot) and the schedule will be smaller in 2021 but we are hoping that we can return to our regularly scheduled programming in 2022.

We are kicking off Lawn Events in June and extend into the fall. We continue to be thrilled with how many of you have supported us through this difficult time. Whether it be through a donation to our Annual Appeal, participating in our virtual programming, or even just attending one of our driving events with a positive attitude. We salute YOU!

If you can, please consider donating to the Museum using this link. These donations will help us continue hosting lawn events. Every donation counts!

We can’t wait to see you!

Our lawn events now have no restrictions. Spectators can now just come to the event and pay at the front gate. If you are spectating, you do not need to register in advance. If you did register in advance, your tickets will still be honored. Vehicles may also register day-of as long as the event does not fill up with online registrations. Please check each event page for details.

Masks are recommended but not required.

There will be limited food and beverage available for purchase. Cash only.

If a show is canceled, postponed or changed due to weather it will be posted on this page and our Facebook page at least one day prior to the event. On occasion, we may end an event early due to weather or other circumstances.

Alcohol is NOT permitted at any of our Lawn Events per the Town of Brookline and Brookline Police Department. We reserve the right to check your personal cooler if you are attending our events.

The Museum does not allow ‘For Sale’ signs or Dealer placards on show vehicles at our Lawn Events.

Dogs are allowed at Lawn Events as long as they are kept on a leash at all times! Unless your dog is a service dog, no dogs are allowed in the Museum.

No drones are allowed at the Lawn Events or in Larz Anderson Park. No exceptions!

When you attend a Lawn Event, you agree that your likeness, your vehicle and your guests may be used in photographs, video, or other digital media in any and all of the Larz Anderson Auto Museum's publications, including web-based publications. you hereby irrevocably authorize the Larz Anderson Auto Museum to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. If you do not want your photo to be used, please check in with a Museum staff person.

As of July 14, 2021, there will be no refunds issued for events after you have paid the online registration fees unless the event is cancelled or postponed and you cannot attend the new event date. We may issue a refund on a case by case basis if we can fill your space.
