1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL Convertible

One of the most iconic and longest running series that Mercedes-Benz ever created, the R107 SL, known in the United States as the 350/450/380/560 SL, has become an automotive milestone. Produced from 1971 through 1989, it was an extremely popular series, with well over a quarter million sold over the course of nearly two decades, making it the second longest running single series ever produced by the manufacturer.

Created in the dawn of regulation changes in the 1970s, engineers designed the vehicle to not only comply with new safety and emissions standards of the U.S. lawmakers, but also to appeal to the American public. It quickly became a sales success and was often the car of choice for the upper-class and professionals. Highly desired, this series exhibited elegant styling, effortless performance, superior build quality, sophisticated engineering, and comfort.

The Mercedes-Benz 450SL continues to be a heavily sought after and much desired classic car because of its reliability, style, and performance.
